In the final of the Women’s Premier League, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals and won the title. The match between the two teams was played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The team that wins this match has become rich. Along with winning the trophy, the Mumbai team also took home six crore rupees as prize money. The runners-up Delhi Capitals got Rs 3 crore.
The prize money available in WPL is very less as compared to IPL. Last year, the team of Gujarat Titans, who became IPL champions, received Rs 20 crore as prize money. At the same time, the runner-up Rajasthan Royals got a check of Rs 12.5 crore crore.
