The two minute 30 second trailer video shows viewers the island kingdom Numenor of the Second Age of Middle Earth. It features the first glimpse of some of Tolkien’s most popular characters. These characters include Isildar (Maxim Baldry), Elendil (Lloyd Owen), Pharojon (Tristan Gravell) and Queen Regent Miriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson). The trilogy of this film depicts the 1000 year old story. ‘The Ring of Power’ is based on the universe created in the books by JRR Tolkien. Before this, two trilogies have been made, which have grossed more than six billion dollars in total worldwide.
