New Delhi . Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) have registered year-on-year growth in their retail sales in September 2025. Tata Motors’ market share increased to 13.75 percent, whereas last year it was 11.52 percent. The company sold 32,586 vehicles this month. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki retailed 1,23,242 units, increasing its market share to 41.17 percent. Maruti’s sales in September last year were 1,15,530 vehicles. On the other hand, both sales and market share of Hyundai Motor India have declined. Hyundai’s sales in September this year stood at 35,812 vehicles, whereas last year 38,833 vehicles were sold. Market share declined from 13.72 percent to 11.96 percent. The market share of Toyota Kirloskar Motor also fell to 6.78 percent, whereas last year it was 7.35 percent. The company saw a slight decline in sales. Mahindra & Mahindra sold 37,659 vehicles, although its market share remained almost stable. Kia India’s sales increased marginally but its market share declined to 6.78 per cent. In the two-wheeler sector, Hero MotoCorp increased its market share to 25.10 percent, while Honda Motorcycle’s share declined to 25.05 percent. TVS Motor Company’s stake also increased. Overall, retail sales of passenger vehicles grew by 6 percent and two-wheeler sales grew by 6.5 percent.
