Angara, Andhra Pradesh: Continuing its mission to make education accessible for every child, Smiley Children Society is providing free evening tuition classes along with nutritious dinner for children from economically weaker families in Angara.
Founded on January 19, 2019, by social worker Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society has consistently introduced educational and welfare initiatives that reduce the financial burden on families while helping children perform better academically.
Recognizing that many parents struggle to afford private tuition or additional educational support, the organization launched its free evening learning program where experienced volunteers assist students with homework, foundational subjects, exam preparation, and overall academic development.
As part of the initiative, children are also provided with dinner after their classes, ensuring they receive proper nutrition while continuing their education.
Founder Prudhvi Moses explained that the program addresses two important concerns faced by economically disadvantaged families—quality education and daily nutrition.
“Many children have the ability to excel but lack academic support outside school. Through our free evening tuition program, we want to ensure that financial limitations never become a barrier to learning. Providing dinner is our way of supporting both education and child welfare,” he said.
The tuition sessions create a safe and encouraging learning environment where students receive individual attention and motivation to continue their education with confidence. Volunteers also focus on improving reading, writing, mathematics, communication skills, and overall personality development.
Parents have welcomed the initiative, noting that the program has reduced educational expenses while improving children’s academic performance and attendance.
Smiley Children Society continues to encourage volunteers, educators, and community members to participate in similar educational outreach programs that strengthen learning opportunities for children across rural communities.
