Shamshera Movie Review: ‘Shamshera’ casts a big eclipse on Ranbir’s return, all junk due to poor script and poor direction
The condition of Yash Raj Films is bad
In the 50th year of the inception of Yash Raj Films, not a single film of this company has been able to do business at the box office. All the films of Yash Raj Films released this year, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and ‘Shamshera’ could not take strong openings at the box office. The first two of these films have been declared flop films. The future of the film ‘Shamshera’ is also not looking good at the box office. The film has earned only Rs 10.30 crore on its first day of release and it is less than 10 per cent of its budget. The cost of the film ‘Shamshera’ is said to be around Rs 150 crore, although sources in Yash Raj Films say that the company has spent much more than this.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ backward from ,shamshera,
The prices of the film ‘Shamshera’, which was released in 4350 screens in India and 1200 screens abroad, have been kept very low at the ticket window, this was done so that if not more than the film ‘Maze 2’, then at least equal to the tickets on the first day. Could only sell but it could not happen. The opening of the film ‘Shamshera’ Karthik Aryan’s film ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ could not match the record of Rs 14.11 crore. The opening of the film ‘Shamshera’ was less than ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’, the first day collection of this film was two big flops of this year ‘Bachchan Pandey’ (Rs 13.25 crore) and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ (Rs 10.70 crore). has been less than
Bad film’s loss to Ranbir
The biggest reason for the film ‘Shamshera’ not doing the business as expected is believed to be due to its trailer as well as people’s distaste for the film. From the day the trailer of the film was released, people started comparing its special effects with the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and the film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. The film also suffered the loss of the location and costume of the film ‘Shamshera’ being very similar to the film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. With the release of the film, it was also revealed that the script, music, direction, art direction and dialogues of the film are not effective at all.
Talking about the films of actor Ranbir Kapoor, this is the ninth film of his career, whose opening has taken Rs 10 crore or more. Here is the list of top 10 films of Ranbir in terms of first day earnings:
