Sensex opening bell: Market is out, Sensex opens up 550 points on Wednesday, Nifty crosses 16500

After receiving strong signals from global markets on Wednesday (July 20, 2022) the third trading day of the week, Indian markets have also opened strongly. On Wednesday, the Sensex opened up 550 points, while the Nifty has crossed the level of 16500.

Before that, on Tuesday, there was a great rally in the US markets. The Dow Jones closed with a jump of 750 points. The Nasdaq also gained three per cent. On Tuesday, FIIs bought Rs 967 crore in cash in the domestic stock market while DIIS bought Rs 101 crore in cash yesterday.

In the trading day of Wednesday, buying in all sectors including IT, Metal, Banking and Auto shows strength in the market. On Wednesday, the Sensex jumped 718 points to open at 55,486.12, while the Nifty gained 222 points to open at 16,562.80. Reliance shares have seen the biggest gain in the Sensex.
