On the first trading day of the week, the market saw a rally. On Monday (August 8), the Sensex climbed 465 points to close at 58,853 points, while the Nifty closed 128 points higher at 17,525 points. On Monday, buying in banking, auto, metal and FMCG stocks in the market strengthened the market.

On Monday, most of the M&M shares saw a rise. Hindalco, Titan, Power Grid, Tata Motors and Adani Ports also traded strongly. Apart from this, shares of BPCA, SBIA SBI Life, ONGC, Kotak Bank, UPL and UltraTech Cement were among the top losers.
