Hadi Matar, the 24-year-old suspect who stabbed writer Salman Rushdie, was produced in a court where he did not plead guilty. Meanwhile, District Attorney Jason Schmidt also provided details of the injuries Rushdie suffered during the accused’s appearance on Saturday afternoon. According to which, the author has three wounds in the right side of the front of the neck, four in the stomach and right eye and chest, besides one wound on the right thigh. Schmidt said the attack on Rushdie was premeditated. World leaders and litterateurs have strongly condemned this barbaric attack.
