Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said the Centre’s ‘Rojgar Melas’ have ensured employment opportunities for engineering graduates and those educated up to plus two. Handing over the appointment letters to the newly recruited people in various government departments at the employment fair organized at ICF Chennai, he said that this event has ensured employment opportunities to the youth.

Congratulating the newly recruited, he said that many youths have got appointment in their own home state. Sitharaman said “Here is an engineer who has come to the Income Tax Department as an inspector, one as a probationary officer in a bank and another as a GST inspector. Many youth got jobs in their place of residence or their native state.”

Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh also had one candidate each among over 250 people to whom the finance minister handed over appointment letters. On this occasion, the Union Finance Minister, symbolically handed over letters to more than 25 appointed people. These included Group A, Group B (gazetted), Group B (non-gazetted) and Group C category employees. During this, three candidates including Indian Coast Guard, selected in banks and other government departments and two inspectors of Income Tax Department, one tax assistant each also received appointment letters.

CBDT Chairman Nitin Gupta, CBIC Chairman Vivek Johri and other senior officers were present on the occasion. Let us inform that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched ‘Rozgar Mela’ for the recruitment of 10 lakh people across the country today. In June, he had asked various government departments and ministries to recruit people on ‘mission mode’ over the next one-and-a-half years.

At the same time, during the employment fair organized in Guwahati, Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that the youth should work sincerely and diligently for the development of the country. The Union Minister distributed appointment letters to about 200 successful candidates in government departments during this period. Union Minister Sonowal, who was virtually involved in the employment fair program started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that today is a historic day for the youth of the country. On this day 75,000 youth got jobs due to the progressive leadership of the Prime Minister of the country.

Jitendra Singh said – PM has given top priority to issues and concerns related to youth

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has constantly emphasized on creating new avenues and opportunities for livelihood, government jobs and income for the youth of the country. He said that the Prime Minister has given top priority to the issues and concerns related to youth from the very beginning. In his welcome address during a job fair organized at the Secretariat Institute of Training and Management (ISTM) in New Delhi, he said his department would come out with the next installment of appointment letters in the next few months to meet the target of 10 lakh government jobs.
