Raksha Bandhan: ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was behind Akshay Kumar’s films this year, earning just so much in the first weekend

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is the only artist in the industry who releases his maximum number of films every year. The actor has been entertaining the audience for a long time with his films ranging from action to comedy and then social issues. But now it seems that the actor’s charm is decreasing a bit. Actually, this year has not been anything special for the actor. The actor’s three films have been released so far this year, but all three films failed to attract the audience at the box office.

A similar situation was also seen in the recently released film Rakshabandhan of Akshay. Apart from Akshay’s makers and Akshay, his fans also had high hopes from this film released on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. However, the film has not lived up to the expectations since its release. Seeing the slow pace of the film, it was expected that Rakshabandhan would improve its collection on the weekend. But even on its opening weekend, the film could not do anything special. According to the figures revealed, the film has done a business of only 20.31 crores in its first weekend.

Talking about the weekend collection of Rakshabandhan, Akshay Kumar’s film has earned 6.4 6.51, 7.40 crores on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively. Seeing such a performance of the film, it can be said that the film Rakshabandhan has also been included in the list of poor performing films of this year by Akshay Kumar. But the surprising thing is that this film itself has become less grossing film than Akshay’s films Samrat Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey this year.

Akshay Kumar’s film Bachchan Pandey, which came in March this year, did a business of 36.17 crores on its opening weekend. At the same time, after this, the film Samrat Prithviraj, which was released in June this year, earned 39.40 crores on its first weekend. In such a situation, the film Rakshabandhan has become the lowest-grossing film in Akshay’s film released so far this year, doing a business of only 20.31 crores in the first weekend. Looking at the declining business of the film, it is difficult to say whether the film will be able to survive at the box office.
