Railway Recruitment Board

Indian Railways is divided into 17 zones and there are 71 divisions. To ease the work of the Railway Recruitment Board, these 17th zones was created in 2010. All zones do their work independently. Nobody comes to hang between each other.

Each railway zone is a divisional railway manager. People who are also called DRM. The DRM takes special care of all the jobs related to the railway zone. Recruitment of vacancies in Railways is also done in consultation with the DRM.

Railway Recruitment Types

There are four different positions for RRB jobs: A, B, C and D. The recruitment process for all posts is very different from each other.  

Indian Railway Recruitment Group (A)

UPSC conducts exam for this group a railway recruitment.  For this job of RRB you have to give the exam first, after this your interview will be taken and after that you have to prove yourself in the group discussion.

Only then will you be able to work at the level of group A in Indian Railways. In addition to the UPSC, there are many other institutes organizing examinations for Railway Group A recruitment.  

Railway Recruitment Group (B)

RRB does not hold any exam for Group B post recruitment. In Group B post, mainly people are recruited who pass by the group c. They are promoted for recruitment in Group B. For this reason, you cannot direct any applications for the Railway group B post.  

Railway Recruitment Group (C) Post

Railway Zone organizes Examination in all over India for Group C Railway Jobs. This railway vacancy has two separate parts. The first is technical and the second is non-technical.

Some non-technical posts have names like this.

  • Assistant Station Master (ASM)
  • Trains Clerks (TC)
  • Ticket collectors (TC)
  • Commercial Apprentice (CA)
  • Traffic Apprentice (TA) etc.

Technical Post

  • Technical Engineers in Signal
  • Telecommunication, Civil Mechanical Electrical etc.

RRB Recruitment for Group (D) Post

The recruitment process is done by the Railway Recruitment Cell in Group D. This is last level vacancy of Indian railway. You do not need to be over-educated for the Group D Railway Recruitment. Any student passing from 8th class to 12th class can apply for this RRB group D post.  

How to apply for RRB railway post for Group D

First of all, you have to go to the official website of RRB or visit the official website of the railway zone you want to apply. From there you can apply for this group D post of RRB.

After this, you will have to give written Exam to get Railway Vacancy. If you pass away, in the Written Examination, then you are called for physical and then for medical examinations. After passing all the exams, you will get Group D railway jobs.
