Pakistan: Nine terrorists killed in action after killing of Colonel, BLA kidnapped and killed Laeq Mirza

An army officer was kidnapped and killed by the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan, following which at least nine terrorists were killed in action by security forces. Government and security officials gave this information on Friday.

Military and local officials said that 15 terrorists disguised as police on Tuesday abducted Colonel Laiq Mirza and killed him on Thursday. At the time of the kidnapping, Laik was on his way to a resort in Ziarat town with his family. The military did not share any further details about Friday’s operation. In the year 2019, the US had declared the BLA a terrorist group. The group had claimed that it killed Mirza but left his family members alive as they were not involved in the crime against the BLA.
