Microsoft Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Satya Nadella has said that it is a matter of pride for him to receive the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award. He said that he wants to work together with people from across India so that they can use technology to achieve more.
Let us inform that the Consul General of India in San Francisco, Dr. TV Nagendra Prasad, formally presented this honor to Nadella last week. Nadella, 55, plans to visit India in January next year.
On receiving the Padma Bhushan, Nadella said, “It is an honor to receive the Padma Bhushan and to be recognized with so many extraordinary people. I am grateful to the President, the Prime Minister and the people of India. I look forward to continuing to work with people across India to help them use technology to make more achievements.”
The key role of digital technology in promoting inclusive growth in India was discussed between Nadella and Dr. Prasad. After this meeting, Nadella said, “The next decade will be of digital technology. Indian industries and organizations of all sizes are turning to technology that will drive innovation, combativeness and efficiency.
Hyderabad-born Nadella became the CEO of Microsoft in February 2014 and was also made the chairman of the company in June 2021.
