Neeraj Chopra qualified for the finals of the World Athletics Championships, played 88.39m javelin throw

Oregon: India’s star athlete Neeraj Chopra has also made his mark in the World Athletics Championships. He has qualified for the Men’s Javelin in his very first attempt by throwing javelin up to a distance of 88.39 meters.

After throwing the Tokyo Olympic gold javelin, now Athlete Neeraj Chopra has come close to success in the World Athletics Championships as well. A total of 34 participants took part in Neeraj Chopra’s event in this event held in Oregon, USA. The participants remained in two qualifying groups. The 12 best players from these two groups will get a chance to throw the javelin in the final event to be held on Saturday.

Neeraj Chopra, 24, qualified in the Group A qualification round with the third best throw of his career. Along with Neeraj, Jakub Vadlejch of Czech Republic also qualified for the final with a javelin throw of 85.23m in the first attempt. Another Indian athlete Rohit Yadav will compete in Group B.
