Jai Shah Sahab, if you had anything to say… Akram also jumped into the fight against India

New Delhi: There is a war of words between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ahead of the World Cup. Indian Cricket Board secretary Jay Shah had talked about not going to Pakistan next year and getting the Asia Cup held at a neutral place. Since then, the current and former players of both the teams as well as politicians have been giving their opinion. This statement of Jay Shah also becomes important because he is also the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has also given his opinion. If Wasim is to be believed, India cannot guide Pakistan on how to play cricket. Akram said that Jay Shah should have spoken personally to PCB chairman Rameez Raja.

The cricket board has given a tremendous statement. India will not tell how Pakistan played cricket and cricket in Pakistan also started after 10-15 years. I am a former player. I don’t know what is happening on the political field, but it is important to have a conversation. If you had to say Jai Shah sahib, you would have at least called our chairman and held a meeting of the Asian Council. If you give your idea, it will be discussed.

Wasim Akram

Wasim Akram didn’t stop there. He added, ‘You can’t just stand up and say that we are not traveling.’ Earlier, Pakistan’s legendary bowler Waqar Younis had also said that India-Pakistan wants to harm. He further said that more important than playing cricket is the dignity of the country.

The Asia Cup is scheduled to be played in Pakistan in September next year which will precede the ODI World Cup in India. On Thursday, Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said that the Indian team would need approval from the Home Ministry to travel to Pakistan. Frustrated by this, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday requested the Asian Cricket Council to convene an emergency meeting. The PCB said such statements could divide the Asian and international cricket communities and could also affect Pakistan’s visit to India for the 2023 World Cup.
