About seven crore ITRs are to be filed by July 31. According to the data of the Income Tax Department, till 6 pm on July 30, 35 lakh 67 thousand 263 returns have been filed. In which 4,48,676 returns have been filed between 5 pm and 6 pm of 30 July.
Let us tell you that till July 29, a total of 4.52 crore returns were filed in the country. Officials of the Income Tax Department released the tax return filing data on Saturday, saying that the Central Board of Direct Taxes is monitoring the process of tax filing. To ensure that this process goes smoothly on the ITR filing portal without any hassle, technical experts are working continuously in war form.
Let us tell you that last year ITRs were filed till December 31, 2021. During that time 5.89 crore taxpayers had filed tax.
