Good news for Team India before T20 World Cup, Mohammed Shami passed fitness test

New Delhi: There is good news for the Indian team just before the T20 World Cup. Mohammed Shami has passed his fitness test at the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore. Now he is all set to fly to Australia. Shami was included in the backup players of the World Cup, but due to the home series against South Africa and then being Corona positive, he did not leave with the main team. There are also reports of Shardul Thakur leaving for Australia tomorrow. Deepak Chahar has already exhausted all his possibilities by getting injured.

Mohammed Shami, sitting at home for the purpose of playing the World Cup, was included in the home series, but the 32-year-old player could not play due to Corona. This UP pacer had a big role in making Gujarat Titans IPL 2022 champions. Shami has not played a single match for India in the short format since the last T20 World Cup played in 2021.

Mohammed Shami being fully fit is indeed good news for the Indian team as bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa. Chahar, who was part of the 15-member team, complained of back problems following which he was sent to the NCA in Bengaluru to oversee the medical team.
