Business: The stock market registered a rise on Wednesday. Both Sensex and Nifty opened in the green on positive signals regarding the ongoing talks between India and America on trade and import duty issues. While Sensex rose by 236.29 points to 82,266 in early trade, Nifty rose by 78 points to 25,223.
During early trading, most of the sectors were seen in the green. Especially the shares of realty sector of Nifty, which increased by 0.68 percent. Apart from this, shares of PSU bank, financial services, FMCG, metal and auto sectors also showed gains. There was also growth in IT and Pharma.
On the other hand, there was a slight decline in Nifty Media and Nifty Consumer Durables.
