New Delhi. Avenue Supermarts, which operates DMart supermarket and hypermarket chains, has performed well in the second quarter (July-September) of FY 2025. The company’s net profit increased by 3.9 percent to Rs 684.85 crore, whereas this figure was less in the same quarter last year. During this period, the total income of the company increased by 15.4 percent to Rs 16,676.30 crore. However, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) stood at Rs 1,214 crore, which is higher than last year’s Rs 1,094 crore. Despite this, EBITDA margin declined from 7.6 percent to 7.3 percent, indicating increase in operating costs. A senior official of the company said that stores which are more than two years old have seen an increase of 6.8 percent in sales. Also, 8 new stores were opened in this quarter, taking the total number of stores of DMart to 432 by September 30, 2025. DMart also passed on the benefits of the recent GST rate cut by the government to its customers.
