There are two papers in CTET and the candidates who wish to teach from class 1 to class 5 have to give its paper 1 and those who want to teach from class 6 to class 8 have to give its paper 2. In both the papers, 150 questions are asked for a total of 150 marks. In CTET Paper 1, candidates are asked 30 questions from Child Development and Pedagogy, 30 questions from Language-1, 30 questions from Language-2, 30 questions from Mathematics and 30 questions from Environmental Studies. Whereas in Paper 2, 30 questions are asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, 30 questions from Language-1, 30 questions from Language-2 and 60 questions from Mathematics and Science or Social Studies and Social Science. Candidates get two and a half hours to solve each paper. It is expected that the next CTET may also be conducted on the same pattern.

In which paper do more candidates get success:

After looking at the data related to the successful candidates in CTET, it is found that the success percentage of the candidates who appeared in its paper 1 is more than the candidates who appeared in its paper 2. In fact, out of the candidates who appeared in Paper 1 of CTET 2021, a total of 29.78 percent candidates had passed it. Whereas the percentage of successful candidates in its paper 2 was 17.21. On the other hand, 33.25 percent of the candidates in Paper 1 of CTET conducted before CTET 2021 and 21.68 percent of the candidates in Paper 2 were successful. Hence it can be said that it is easier for the candidates to crack Paper 1 of CTET than to crack its Paper 2.
