Business: The government has extended the last date for submission of bids under the latest oil and gas block auction (OALP-X) for the second time. This will give potential investors more time to participate. This information was given by the Directorate General Hydrocarbons (DGH).
The deadline for submission of bids for the OALP-X licensing round has been extended by two months to December 31, 2025. Launched during the India Energy Week 2025 in February, the original deadline for this round was the end of July, which was later extended to October 31.
Along with this, the deadline for submitting bids for the fourth round of Discovered Small Fields (DSF) and Special Coal-Bed Methane (CBM) round has also been extended till December 31, 2025.
