Since then, the old video of Akshay Kumar is becoming increasingly viral, in which he is talking about going to Canada after the films flopped.
In an old interview, Akshay Kumar had said that a few years ago my films were not playing. Some 14-15 films did not do well. In such a situation, he is thinking that he should do some other work. During this, a friend of his advised him to shift to Canada. After this he went to Canada and applied for citizenship and he got citizenship. However, when his films started playing in Bollywood, he changed his mind. Akshay had said, ‘I have a passport, it is for going from one country to another. I work in an India and pay my tax in India itself. I just want to say that I am Indian and always will be.
This is not the first time that Akshay Kumar is being trolled for his Canadian citizenship. In 2019 too, he had to face trolls even during the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, recently Akshay Kumar came to Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. On the show, when Karan asked her whether she cares about trolls? On this, Akshay had said, ‘I do not go online much. At most he writes about Canada, which I don’t care about.
