Business: The country’s mobile phone exports increased by 95 percent year-on-year in September to cross $ 1.8 billion. August and September are traditionally considered slow months for exports due to production adjustments and seasonal supply cycles, India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) said on Tuesday. This shows that India’s mobile phone manufacturing sector is ready for global competition underpinned by the three pillars of sustained scale, efficiency and reliability. India’s mobile phone exports can reach the level of around $35 billion in the current financial year 2025-26.
