Bollywood Star Saif Ali Khan Stabbed at Home, Critical Surgery Underway

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was hospitalised after being attacked by an intruder who broke into his Bandra (West) residence early Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM while Saif was asleep at home with his wife, Kareena Kapoor, and their family.

Intruder Flees the Scene

The assailant reportedly stabbed Saif during the confrontation before fleeing when other family members woke up. The Bandra police have registered an FIR and launched an investigation, with multiple teams working to trace and apprehend the suspect.

Police Statement

A senior IPS officer confirmed the incident, stating, “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital and is undergoing treatment. It is still unclear whether he was stabbed or injured in a scuffle with the intruder. Investigations are ongoing, and the Mumbai Crime Branch is conducting a parallel inquiry.”

Hospital Update

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said, “Saif was attacked by an unidentified individual at his home and brought to the hospital around 3:30 AM. He has sustained six injuries, two of which are deep, including one near his spine. He is undergoing surgery, performed by neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi. The full extent of the injuries will be known post-surgery.”

Dr. Uttamani also noted another injury on Saif’s neck, which is being evaluated. The surgery began at 5:30 AM and is ongoing.

An anonymous doctor from Lilavati Hospital revealed that a fragment of the knife was found in Saif’s body. However, the actor’s ability to move his limbs indicates that his spine is unaffected.
