Ind vs Pak: India will not go, but Pakistan will come in a blink… Know why Aakash Chopra said – I can give in writing

Mumbai: Following the announcement by Cricket Board of India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah that India will not tour Pakistan for the Asia Cup T20 tournament, its counterpart Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that it will choose its team India for the 2023 World Cup. Can retaliate by not sending. However, former India opener Aakash Chopra believes that the PCB cannot stick to its announcement and will definitely send its team to India for the 50-over World Cup.

He said that he can give in writing that India will not travel to Pakistan for next year’s Asia Cup and that Pakistan will definitely come to India to play in the ODI World Cup. Chopra said in a YouTube channel, “If India does not participate then there will be no Asia Cup. The Asia Cup is a smaller tournament as compared to the World Cup. Leaving the World Cup means you will end up losing a huge amount of revenue that the ICC gets.

Chopra said that the Asia Cup will be run on India’s basis due to the country’s economic strength and the event is likely to be postponed. Chopra further said in the channel, ‘ACC is a union. But few people know that India does not take a single penny from ACC. Everyone (ACC) takes a certain amount from the treasury, be it 40 lakhs or 80 lakhs.’

He further said, ‘India has been playing the role of a big brother in the ACC. If it is said that the team cannot travel to Pakistan, then I can give you this in writing that India will not travel to Pakistan. The Asia Cup will also be held at a neutral venue and Pakistan will definitely come to play the World Cup in India, if I can’t believe it, I can give it in writing. India will take on Pakistan in their first match of the T20 World Cup in Melbourne on 23 October.
