You watched all the matches of India and West Indies. Are you disappointed with the way West Indies play?
India has a pool of players, which is much bigger than ours. You know we fought a good fight in the first two ODIs but unfortunately we didn’t win. There are many good young players in the dressing room. Few players, including captain Nicholas, have the experience of playing more T20 Internationals. With time they will learn to fight.
Windies are a very competitive side in the T20 format. Despite this, India won easily without many important players. What would you like to say?
You could say it was a B team. There were Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, but there were no players like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. I must say that the Windies team is learning. T20 World Cup is also coming. This series would have given him an idea of what he had to do. He has been able to do well as a team. It’s a good thing.
What do you think about your Mumbai Indians teammate Rohit Sharma, what would you like to say about his captaincy and batting?
Brilliant… with strong leadership they have won a lot of matches. He performs well, which is good for the team. Especially I like watching Hitman bat. Hopefully he will continue this performance in the future as well.
You play cricket leagues all over the world including IPL. What is different or similar between them and Hundred?
I think the atmosphere is very nice. New formats and new initiatives. Here the game changes even faster, so its thrill is different. You always have to be on alert mode. This is my first time in the tournament and I have really enjoyed my first two matches.
