Tulika’s mother said, ‘Tulika was not even three years old when I separated from her father. She doesn’t remember anything about her father, I never wanted that man in my life, so I didn’t tell her anything about him until she became an adult. I have only told him that Satbir, who was doing transport business in Najafgarh, was murdered in 2005 due to personal enmity.
Let us tell you that Tulika was introduced to Judo for the first time at the age of five at the Tagore Garden Actation in the capital Delhi. Tulika’s mother lives in the allotted police quarters in Tagore Garden itself. Initially Tulika has been in Rewari. Judo is the art of a defensive sport, which is probably why Amrita thought it would be a good life education for her daughter. It was in Tagore Garden that Tulika enrolled herself in the Tachi Judo Club, while continuing her studies at a private school.
In Judo, Tulika has won the gold medal of the South Asian Games in 2019. Tulika is a four-time national champion. There were many challenges for Tulika in her way to the success of Commonwealth Games.
