On Monday, the government has given a big relief to the people troubled by the increased prices of LPG. Oil companies have reduced the prices of LPG. Now commercial cylinders will be cheaper by Rs 36. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders.
According to the new rate, from August 1, i.e. today, a 19 kg LPG cylinder will be available in Delhi for Rs 1976.50, while earlier it was priced at Rs 2012.50. Apart from this, it will be available for Rs 2095.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1936.50 in Mumbai and Rs 2141 in Chennai.
No relief on domestic cylinder
Even though oil companies have drastically cut the price of commercial cylinders, but the prices of domestic cylinders remain the same. Domestic LPG gas cylinder of 14.2 kg is available at the same old price. On July 6, there was a huge increase in its price. Oil companies had increased the prices of domestic gas cylinders by up to Rs 50. Since then its price has remained beyond Rs 1000. At present, a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder is available for Rs 1053 in Delhi, Rs 1053 in Mumbai, Rs 1079 in Kolkata and Rs 1068.50 in Chennai.
