A fire broke out at Chitrakoot ground in Andheri, Mumbai on Friday. Due to this fire in the ground, the set of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Luv Ranjan’s untitled film was also gutted. According to reports, one firefighter died in the accident, while 6 others were injured. The firefighter who was injured in the fire accident was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead. At the same time, the Western India Film and Walkie Talkie Attendant, Fire Fighter Association has expressed displeasure over this whole accident.
Expressing displeasure in this matter, the association has also raised some demands. According to media reports, the association has demanded registration of an FIR against the owner of Chitrakoot studio and filmmaker Luv Ranjan responsible for the incident under Section 304 of the Act and compensation for the family of the firefighter who died in the fire. The association has demanded Rs 50 lakh as compensation to the family of the deceased and 15,000 months for life to one person in the family.
According to reports, the union is also going to file a written complaint in this matter on Monday, August 1, at Kamgar Bhawan, Bandra. Along with this, the association has also appealed to all the firefighters to come together to get justice for the deceased. Significantly, on the previous day, a fire broke out on the sets of two films made at Chitrakoot Studio in Andheri West, Mumbai. Both the sets on the ground belonged to a Rajshri Productions film and Luv Ranjan’s untitled film.
Please tell that the exact cause of the fire has not been revealed yet. However, it is being claimed in the media report that the fire started due to the wooden prop kept in the pandal. According to reports, pre-lighting work was going on on the sets. During this there was a fire. Ranbir and Shraddha Kapoor were not present on the sets at the time of the accident.
