During the first 5G auction being held in the country, the government has received bids worth Rs 1,49,967 crore in 30 rounds held so far. The 5G auction auction will continue on July 31 as well.
Earlier it was being said that after July 30, the auction would start from Monday, August 1, but later, modifying this information, it was told by the Department of Telecommunications that the auction would continue on July 31, 2022 as well.
Let us tell you that earlier during the auction of 5G auction, it was said by the Ministry of Telecom that companies showed good interest in the 700MHz band in this auction. They’re sold out.
While the company is also taking interest in low and mid bands. Let us tell you that during the 5G auction, Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Adani Group are bidding.
On the other hand, Union Minister of State for Telecom, Devu Singh Chouhan, while answering a question in Parliament recently, has said that 5G mobile service can be started in the country only during the financial year 2022-23. Which will be up to ten times faster than the 4G services currently running in the country.
During this, the minister said that the Department of Telecommunications has changed the guidelines of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the manufacture of products related to 5G services, so that the manufacturing of products related to 5G services can start in the country.
