Birmingham: India had a good day at the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday with gold medals in lawn balls and table tennis while Vikas Thakur won silver in weightlifting. In women’s hockey, however, the Indian team could not face the first tough challenge and lost to England. The first day of the athletics event was mixed for India.
